Arrival & Depature !

A hectic week since last Friday with the arrival of my States-Bound cousin coming to Mumbai for eventual trip to States, my cousin from Surat and my Uncle-Aunt for uncle's medical check-up. Plus, with the kind of pressure from office with the final delivery pending from my team in this weekend.

Been trying to keep up pace with cousins, Uncle-Aunt and work. My house is full with guests. The food are delicious due to aunt taking the role of chef. At both the ends, in office and home, I have been stretched. But, the worst part is that I'm not to get sound sleep since last week due to which I'm feeling very tired in office also but, the kind of pressure in the office is keeping me alert, awake and running after my team-mates to finish the last minute details of the deliverable.

Yesterday, I helped my US-bound cousin to finish his packing. Felt bit bad as we won't be able to meet again for another 5-6 years till he finishes his studies. So near yet so far. Anyway, this is life. Wish he will do best in his field.

Tonight I'll be going to see him off. Day after very early morning I'll going to airport again to see-off my uncle and aunt for their home-bound journey then at night to the railway station to see off my cousin for Surat.

In another 2 days my full-house will again become empty with the loneliness haunting me as usual.

Ways of tackling deadlines

Interesting chart which was after surveying more than thousand Project Managers of tackling the delay in the deadline.

No matter how well you plan and execute but, the project always seems to be heading for delays.

Overtime and ignoring the deadline seem to be the best way of handling a delay.

PS : The survey answer were in multiple choice so the percentage may add above hundred.

Impact of Bindra !

Since the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics games, I had been fighting with my cable operator to increase the quality of reception of DD Sport (Sole Olympic telecaster of India) which was falling to the deaf ear. I complained and threatened him saying 'Mein Cable ban kar doonga' or 'Mein paise nahin doonga jab tak...' but, still he got one reply 'Company se aise hi hain'. So I had almost given up hope of catching Olympic actions as the current DD sports was too low quality to watch both in audio and video.

That morning I put on the TV before going to office to catch a glimpse of news. Somehow I could sense some kind of happiness and excitement to the news reader. Few seconds later I saw the scrolling news "ABHINAV wins GOLD".

To catch the action, I started changing channels to the DD sports where i didn't found none. Got so angry and switched to the channel which was telecasting ESPN and suprisingly found DD sport so clear and loud and repeatedly showing the white smiles of "BINDRA".

From that day, my cable operator is putting DD sports in the high quality channel making it a joy to watch.

Thanks to 'standing-ovation' achievement of Bindra.

Perhaps, this will change the outlook of Indian to the other sports. I hope the GOI will start looking sports as a serious affair rather than adhoc matter.

Many of the Indian medalist of World Champions are struggling to find a good square meal everyday. For little luckier ones, their career has been ended with some kind of clerical jobs in railways or petroleum or hell.

Time has come for every association to grow like BCCI because they can't wait for the government for everything as this is killing the career of many thousands. Many blame BCCI for senseless commercialization of cricket but, I respect them for giving good life to every cricketers in India thereby inspiring thousands more.

Well done Abhinav Bindra.

The unhappy Kinng !

A much anticipated but, a disappointing movie at the end. Neither does it has the kind of comedy of "No Entry / Welcome" nor the kind of story line of "Namaste London". The movie was much below my expectations. Being a big fan of Akshay's movie, this movie is big turn down for me.

Except for Akshay Kumar in the movie, rest of the casting seemed to be misappropriate and without much sense and redundant. The story line delivered nothing at the end. The maker failed to realize that they couldn't solely dependent on the comedy of errors for the whole movie.

The title, the kind of song, the kind of the trailer they were showing from the last month seemed to misfit with the actual movie. Except for the title track and sense of humor/acting of Akshay (perfect punjabi) rest of the movie is worthless.

To sum up everything, "The Singh is Kinng" is below average.

A pledge !

I took a decision, a decision which was received with bitter heart burns and followed by full of repentance till now.

But, life is all about taking choices. You need to believe in your choice and only this thing will only make you happy. The one rule in life is that "Never look back" because life is full of "ifs and buts". Perhaps, this will help me in lessening the pain of repentance.

Looking forward is way of life.

I pledge to look forward.

My Life !

Now, I'm at the crossroad thinking which way will make me more happy. For sure, I know that I'm going to repent for the road not taken. Confuse totally with the kind of consequences I can think of.

Life has become more and more complicated with each passing days. At times, my heart want to go out to the open sky and shout till my voice drop dead but, the obligations, commitments and responsibilities is tying me down. I know I can break free but, I'm scared because I'm going to hurt many more closed ones. I had already hurted many.

Life is full of choices. I want to take the blue pill.

It hurts to see you crying and worst part I'm helpless like a handicap. Rather than some consoling words and hearing your sob I'm helpless. I crust on myself for this. I can't be worst than this. Perhaps, I could be a better man next time.

A hole in my soul !

Each day is filled with a huge repentance. A repentance which I'm guarding secretly. A repentance which will take my whole life to correct it. Every single idle second I spent thinking about her and thinking how much I have hurted and hurting you.

My dreams has now turned into a nightmare. I see you almost every night crying besides me, crying for the pain I caused to you. I know and can feel how hurt you must be. Except for wishing and repenting myself I can't do much.

My heart tells no one can love me as much as you did. Now, I know it's has turned to hatred for me.

But, the repentance of losing you and repentance for my actions have already created a hole in my soul which will be never filled for this lifetime.

Now, every day I tried my best to drown myself in work, shopping or doing something stupid just to ensure my mind is occupied else the repentance put me back in wilderness.

You'll never know how much I'm missing you. But, I don't have the gut feeling to call you or sms you to let you know this.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor : My Take

The first two installations of the movie "Mummy" film was very good. Both of them are one of my all time favorites. The best part of the movie was the how they put some kind of humor in such a movie and the combination of Brenden Fraser and Rachel Weisz. They were the perfect couple in both the movies. And, the story narration was too good.

But, the third installation which I saw just yesterday on the day of release after much preparation was much below the expectation. It didn't fit at all in the mummy-series. They had replaced Rachel Weisz. The replacement was awful and the Brenden Fraser looked old, tired and fatigue in the movie. The humor was stale. Borrowed from the previous installation. There was nothing fresh in the movie. Except that this time the mummy belonged to China rather than the customary Egypt. The narration and the way how the movie ended was the same with the previous installation. No heart stopping actions.

For a mummy-fan, this movie is a big turn-down.
