Kaminey : my review

I finally catch the much acclaimed 'Kaminey'.

First I thought I was watching some kind of renowned Quentin Tarantino film. As Kaminey had all kind of Tarantino's signature. Perhaps, it was a bit of challenge for bollywood to deliver such a movie. Vishal experimented on it (perhaps, inspired) and got acclaimed including from shrewd Rajiv Masand who thinks many times before even giving a single star. Perhaps, all the critics in India are giving stars for doing something new in bollywood and nothing else.

But, to me it was re-run of some Tarantino's movie laced with some bollywood masala.

Except for the acting skill of actors / actresses specially Shahid and Priyanka in that movie it was an awful movie.

I would rather skip. My rating for the said movie won't go beyond 2 star and a thumbs down.

i felt even jhony Gaddar had Quiton tarantino's (hope I spelled it right) signature. I don't like his movies because of the gore.

is it ok to take my in-laws for this movie?

Better not to take your in-laws for the movie. There are many bold statements and moreover, it a dark movie which needs lot of attention. They won't enjoy unless they are movie-buff.
