Six Strings !

Since my early days I dream of playing guitar someday though not professional. Badly wanted to develop playing guitar as one of my hobbies. But, my parent had a different plan for me during that time. They put a strict vigil eye on me when it comes to this musical instrument. The reason being most of the guitarists from my home-town were either drop-outs, half addicts etc. in the name of guitar and rock music. An perception which the new rock generation is still trying to prove it wrong. In my early days I could only stare on the experts playing guitar but, I failed convince my parents my reasons of learning it.

Many years passed by. After my graduation I again had a chance to learn guitar. This was when I was in Bangalore and before I joined my post-graduation. My roomies used to play guitars and they were good in it. I learned few tricks and codes from them but, had to abandon them in between and the guitar as I had to move to hostel for my PG. With these all my dreams remain unfulfilled.

Many years passed by. I moved to Mumbai and started working for living. Slowly, the grip from my parents has slowly been loosen. Then I came to contact with rock-music people and I have been flowing with them since then. Slowly, the long lost dream is again continued and revived. Now, I decided to learn guitar come what may.

I bought a guitar few days back and I'll be joining a guitar class very soon. It's never too late for something you want it really bad.

Dear blog readers,
One of my school buddies who is currently doing Phd in Physics has formed a rock-band called "Imphal Talkies". The songs are really good and out-of-the-box. Their first album name "Tiddim Road" is ready for released but, the kind of the money needed for it is stopping them. There are very few takers for them till now. I have been trying my best level to convince my friend-circles, You can also chipped in some help. This friend of mine expressed his gratitude for trying to help him by writing a poem for me. You can find it here.
